PS2 & Dell 24" monitor
Any suggestions on connecting this? I was thinking through the s-vid input of monitor and then running the PS2 through my reciever for the sound.
Any ideas on a more simple solution? |

Component would probably be the best easy way. S-Video quality is noticably inferior to component.

I don't believe the 24" monitor (at least mine) has component inputs. It has regular VGA, DVI and S-video. Correct me if I'm wrong....

No audio on the monitor. Go to the receiver.

Grr!!
I'm not sure wtf I'm doing wrong but the 24" monitor is will not recognize any input but the DVI. I've plugged the PS2 into the comonent, composite and S-vid inputs and it keeps teasing me by saying "no input signal".....GRRRR And yes I used the proper wires from the PS2.... Any suggestions....GRRR again.... |

You have to use the button on front to cycle through the input modes...
Im going to break you in with a little pre-warning... PS2 hooked up to that monitor with Svideo is going to look like total ASS.

I dunno, they are replacing it. And you'll get it quickly. Try replacing a Samsung under warranty.

did you switch the monitor to reconize the input? the inputs are not auto detect and will not switch itself if it detects a signal. You have to manually go into the menu and go to that input.

switching inputs
Yes I tried it after I plugged each wire into the PS2 and the component, composite, and S-vid. I switched to each and every one and the only one that works is the DVI.
