Dell 2005FPW - Burn in?

Anyone have a problem with burn in on their Dell 2005FPW? I just noticed tonight my world of warcraft action bars are burned in slightly . I heard running an active screen saver can help remove this effect. Is this true? If so, any recommendations?

i've never heard of burn in on an LCD. But go ahead and try the screen saver thing. I gotta believe it's temporary.

Ya, me neither. I thought it was one of their selling points. However, I guess that's what months of playing WoW for long periods of time will do! I thought it would be temporary too, but after hours of having the monitor off and such they're still there. I will just have to try the screen saver thing and hope for the best.

No problems with my 2005fpw but the most action it sees is a few hours a time at CS:S.

No monitor can withstand world of warcrack!

i'd almost check the warranty on it.

Otherwise, get a program called dead pixel buddy, and have it run through all the colors at 15 second intervals overnight. I'm wondering if you dont' just have a bunch of stuck pixels.

I have a 15" Dell LCD at work that basically has the same image displayed 24/7. It displays a fair amount of burn in after only a year of use.

LCD's are burn in resistant, but not proof.
