2 speaker suggestion
kind of like the other thread, but I'm looking for a compact pair of bumpin' speakers without the use of a huge subwoofer. does such a thing exist?

These are by no means "compact" http://swanspeaker.com/product/htm/view.asp?id=3
but I've been using them for a few years now and have yet to hear any better set of 2 or 2.1 speakers for the computer setup. They are absolutely amazing. Extremely accurate sound (ie not the greatest for gaming lack of a boom maker box  ) and very tight on the highs and ends. I don't see myself upgrading for another few more years which is extremely rare for me to not do so when it comes to audio gear. But again... not the most compact of the bunch hehe.
