came today, worked for all of 15 minutes and then bit the dust.

couple things about those for anyone looking to get one.

--the 9 cell batter sticks out the back (where the monitor port is) about an inch. looks dumb as hell...they didn't tell me that.

--the screen looks pretty crappy, IMHO. my el-cheapo 15" lcd screen on my desktop is about the same, and the screen on a $500 compaq lappy that i bought absolutly blows it out of the water.

--the case design is a littly cludgy, looks like it's from the early 90's. plus, there's the plastic bar under the space bar that kind of gets in the way of typing.

all in all, not happy. gonna return it and get another compaq.
