Wireless video transmitters
I'm not sure whether this should go in HT equipment forum or technical support, but this is the closest since I don't really have a tech problem, rather just a simple question (feel free to notify me/move thread if it belongs elsewhere).
I've recently noticed a number of devices which connect to your computer and wirelessly transmit your computers VGA/DVI feed to your TV screen, I'm interested in these and would like to find out more information. So far I understand their general purpose, but the only real two questions I have is - Are they worth it/Decent quality? and Do they ALSO transmit sound, or do I still have to hook up some kind of apparatus between my entertainment center and sound card? All feedback appreciated and thanks in advance. |

Pinnacle makes a product called ShowCenter that has the functionality you described. It does transmit sound and has a spot to add a wireless card. I researched the initial version of the product, which was released 3 or 4 years ago.
Here's a link to their current product offerings: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSit...Showcenter.htm
