27" Panablack TV (highest res at the time I bought it a few years ago)

Bose Acoustimass (with small single cubes X3, a "bass module," and 2 Bose 101s for the rear.

The PartsExpress or whatever company it was 250 RMS 12" downfiring non-ported sub - very nice for the $$

Old, but good wood Awia sealed sub with crossovers (40 watts, I think) spliced into the rears.

Old Sony DVD with AC3 decoding.

Old Sony receiver with "5.1 ready" inputs (before it was known if DD or SDS would become standard, so the receiver doesn't decode either.)

Former top-o-the-line SVHS VCR

A couple of Beta decks.

Next step, once I pay off some stuff, like this new Dell E1505 (loaded), some Boston Acoustic towers and a higher-end receiver and progressive scan DVD.

The Boses are kind of convenient, on some nice speaker stands I built, but still, "no highs, no lows, must be Bose."

Here's my setup.

Sanyo 32" TV (a few years old -- doesn't even have component video)
Logitech Z-680 speakers (work perfect for my size room)
PSTwo slim for DVD's (very few problems, though we want a true DVD player).
Analog cable (for one more month).

Later in October, I'm getting my satellite system with a DVR HD receiver (the HD is for when I eventually upgrade my TV -- it's the only DVR my satellite provider offers).

Some old JVC 9010 receiver (actually works really well)
JVC Progressive Scan DVD
JVC 36" Tube TV (NOT HD. )
Klipsch MicroTheater thing (basically 4 surrounds, 1 center, and a sub)

I either throw my CDs into my DVD player or my Xbox. I also wirelessly xmit from my PC to have access to the full MP3 collection.

I'm still priming my wife for when our house is built how the setup is GOING to be.
