My Home Office is about to go High Def!!!!
I just picked up an Olevia 232V 32" LCD TV for my "home office".
![]() Circuit City is running a special where if you put in the code DLA6QUYAD6 you can knock off another $50 from the current $549.99 retail price. On top of that you can get free shipping or free pickup at a local location. Pretty sweet deal... and generally cheaper than most of the web offerings that I saw out there for a brand new (not reconditioned) TV. WOOT!!! I can't wait to get this bad boy installed. ![]()

Thats nice! Be sure to post some pics of it fully installed and in all its glory.
So home office? does that mean video game room? ![]()

BTW... that price is so nice, I went back and got another one for DFJ's room... and on this one they gave me 18 months no interest w/ minimum payments.
WOOT WOOT!!! Gotta love all this HDTV goodness on the cheap. ![]() |

Oh my gosh... can i be your kid? Hehe it sounds like a lot of fun and good times. do you two play network games from across the house? that would be pretty awesome. I lived with some roomates and we used to play war craft 3 together and yell at each other down the hall. We could have used teamspeak but what fun is that? |

Good choice, DF!
Great bang for the buck TV. I was able to pick up the 27" version back a few months for $399 and have been very happy with it for being my bedroom TV. If you'll be using the built in tuner for OTA channels, the TV can be a bit slow to respond from when you press the remote. But, if you just program all the OTA HD channels as "favorites" you can just press the favorite button on the remote to go through them easier.

Ok.. I just got both TVs up and mounted to the walls...
Great picture... however one thing I've noticed is that my AT&T Uverse system doesn't have a "universal remote code" for Olevia. ![]() I guess these TVs are too new to have codes that work in universal remotes. Well that's gonna suck... but meh... I'm otherwise very happy with it. |

I used the LevelMount EL32-03 14" to 32" Articulating LCD Mount.
I bought 2 of them from Sam's Club for $49 each, however Buy.com has them $46.99 with free shipping here: http://www.buy.com/prod/levelmount-e...204222742.html ![]() I bought this type because it can swivel and tilt as needed versus the usual "tilt only" in this price range. On top of all that, it can support up to 80 lbs... and this TV weighs about 45 lbs. (most of the smaller mounts like this are only rated for about 40 to 45 lbs) |

Oh well... as it turns out, this is a "known issue" with Olevia. I guess they want their code to be special or something.
Anyways... based on what I have read all over the net, I ended up buying a Sony RM-VL600 "learning remote". Supposedly it can learn the Olevia code and the code from my Set top box from AT&T and allow me to only have to use one remote. Good thing is... Sony sells refurbished units of this remote direct from their website for $14.99 w/ free shipping http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665092997 In stores, it retails for $24.99 (I saw them at Wal-Mart and at Frys) |

Well i'm glad you got it figured out. I thought that code for olevia came off the net where people were having he exact problem you were. And here i thought i was all clever.
Glad you got the situation solved out though. ![]() |
