Viewing distances

There was a thread posted on G/A years ago regarding how viewing a large TV at a great distance is equivalent to watching a smaller TV at a shorter distance.

Does anyone remember it?

was it display wars? Google it. It compares HDTV sizes to CRT sizes. I also use the Amazon.com viewing distances recommendations found under the Samsung or Sony HDTV description.
