Question

What are some good speakers to go with a 5.1 sound card for watching DVD's and playing games?

I would definitely recomend the Klipsch promedias, but they are 4.1's. . . If you really want a 5.1 rig for your computer, look into the videologic's DigiTheater. You really can't get any better than that 5.1 set up for a computer. But imho, a 5.1 setup is pointless on a computer. Since the speakers are most typically set up so close together, a center channel is almost useless. And thats why I would still recommend the Klipsch promedias over any other setup for the comptuer. But good luck on finding them these days. They discontinued the v.2-400 model and are phasing in the Promedia 4.1's. They are $50 more but worth is since they revoiced the crossover of the speakers and a better preamp, which make the sound even more balanced between the satelites and the sub-woofer. Also there is a headphone jack which comes in quite handy. So if you need some speakers right quick now, I would then go with video logic's Sirocco Crossfire. They are very nice speakers, but price at around $400.
