I by no means have top of the line equipment, but my setup is pretty decent, and I have been really happy with it....
Marantz SR-8000 Infinity RS speakers Gigantic Infinity sub Anyway, I was in a home theater store recently and was able to listen to a pair of B&W Nautilus speakers (not the originals, I think it was the 801's or 804's or something). These things literally sent chills down my spine. I have no idea what cd it was, but the woman singing sounded like she was standing right in front of me. It was one of those "you had to be there" experiences I guess. I really had no idea that speakers could sound that good. I always thought that 8 grand for a pair of speakers was just stupid, but I guess I have seen the light. Of course, I can't afford them, and probably won't be able to for some time, but it sure is nice to dream of the day ![]() |

Are Martin Logans any more affordable? I have heard of them, but never seen or auditioned them. What are some really good sounding speakers that are a bit more affordable?

Hehe, martin logans are waaay more less affordable. . . hehe. I personally am an Infinity fan. I also love Cantons and NHT's. Those three are a lot more affordable.
