I was actually hoping to do some research then post on this very strange, very evil speakers.

In a nutshell my buddy came out of a grocery store and there he saw a Dynalab Van. With the logo on the side, and the employee in his uniform of sorts. The guy approached my friend and immediatly went into his huge story about how he over-ordered, or somehting to that effect, and had 4 extra speakers he was stuck with.

He proceeded to show my friend a written order where it shows he took the speakers from his company at a charge of 1199. a piece. He said he was screwed, and absolutely stuck with the speakers. They had to go now and cheap.

He then asked for my pal to buy them for 4 hundred each. Sounds tempting right? After all he has seen the reciept for their actual retail value. They did come with a 2 year warrenty, and the guy even gave him the web site address to check out.

Well my friend was pumped, he thought it was his luckey day and some poor guy's loss. He got him down for 200. for 2 speakers and was ecstatic!!

He brought them here, and granted they are nice looking, they may even sound real good, but we immediatly went to eBay to see the resell value. LOL, what did we see? One seller had 99 PAIRS that he got NO bids on for 150.!! It didn't look good.

The fact is that he was ripped off in the worst way. No one can sell these on eBay and everyone has them dirt cheap. All selling on the same assumption that they actually sell somewhere for over a thousand bucks.

Later, we talked to this other guy we know and he sadly stated that some guy with the very same company, and with almost identical stories hit him up in a parking lot last year. This is a downright fraud on their company's part and I wondered if anyone else knows anything about them or their unfair practices.

I been asked by them twice. I ask if they are free and they laugh and drive off. Oh well I would have given five bucks for them all

I actually fell for this scam, and I use the speakers. They do sound pretty good tho. I thought I was getting a hell of a deal also. heh. I have a friend who's an ex-cop, and she was listening to the scanner that night and the cops where looking for these guys in a white van selling speakers! I don't know if they ever found um or what.

that's like the most common scam around...amazing that a company is now actually using it.

HAHA I just checked them out at eBay and there were several auctions going on. The starting bid prices ranged from 1 cent (BuyItNow for $700) to $25 to $150 to $500... I don't even think the sellers themselves knew exactly how low or high the value of the speakers actually were

This happened to me in college. What made me not fall for the scam? Well, I had no money, and one of the guys looked like Steve Buscemi.
