wanted to get the energy take 5 package but its too expensive. i was thinking about just getting the 4 satillites and center speakers from energy and getting the subwoofer with another brand. does anyone kno wut a good replacement for the energy subwoofer?

Well, I had to do the exact same thing. I had the energy Take5 set, but couldn't afford the Energy Subwoofer. So I went with the Cambridge Soundworks 8" BassCube powered subwoofer. I don't know how much you're willing to spend, but I got mine for $100 (refurbished) on eBay. They always have many of them on auction. for about $100, I think it's VERY good. And the 8" is perfect for my small apartment. If you have a bigger place, then they have the 10", 12" and 15"s too. They each get a little more expensive, but are all still very cheap for their performance. Here are the reviews at audioreview.com

been looking around and started hearing about the sony SA-WM40 subwoofer. it pretty popular with the energy take 5 series. but i still need some suggestions...THnx
