Anyone have recommendations for some speaker wall mounts for mounting rear speakers to the wall? The speakers weigh about six pounds each. Any tips on what to get and not get as well as the cheapest place to get them would be helpful. The plan is to mount them close to the ceiling behind the sofa. Currently they are sitting on the end tables which sit in front of my favorite spot in the sofa. Needless to say they do nothing for rear fill. Note: the sofa is not up against a wall.

as for positioning your you speakers (was that a part of your question?) check this site out.
http://www.dolby.com/ht/sound/ 6 lbs speakers? weren't you the one building your own stands? I'md not sure, but I'd say my speakers are about 5 pounds I'd say and they have screw holes in the back. A solidly placed screw is more than enought for my speakers to hang. |

Yes actually I am the one building speaker stands. I made some for the front speakers and they didn't turn out too bad. The way the room is laid out, I decided I didn't want the rears sitting on stands because they would be coming directly from the side and not the rear. Since I want to mount them up close to the ceiling, I will need to be able to angle them down. I think the exact weight is 5.7 lbs so just about any mounts should hold them. I just don't want to spend $45 at best buy and I don't want to order some that are cheaply made and flimsy.
