Hmmm, this is going to take a while:
Toshiba Sd3755
Toshiba SD1800
Panasonic DVDa102
Panasonic DVDa120
Denon Dvd1800
Ps2
Various ones in computers, but they dont count.

Burned up an original mitsubishi dvd player...slagged a dvd in it in fact.

I have a couple of higher end units that I have been keeping my eyes on, but I am going to wait for my next major upgrade to get them too.

Recently got a Samsung from the Black Friday sale.
I had an Apex 1500 but that died.

My best one before it died was an Apex 5 disk changer with digital out, 5.1 out, svideo, and had two karaoke/mic inputs.

What are you doing to your DVD players to make them die? I mean, hell, other than one mitsu that melted due to the temperature in a badly built entertainment center cabinet (built ins, they forgot the fan and our AVR85, Onkyo integra receiver, and 6 disc cd changer apparently put out a lot of heat) I have never had one truly die.

Actually, I guess that isnt entirely true, as I did have an RCA DIVX player that was overheating and was replaced by another unit, which they then refused to give back to me when it went in for its annual.

But that was all covered by my warranties, so there wasnt a problem.

Just remember with DVD players...they need to be cleaned and aligned once every year (for heavy users) or once every two years (for moderate users). It will prevent your dvd from pixelizing and mosaicing..and then finally refusing to play disc.

They mostly are in different rooms. Although I do have four in my bedroom right now. Then again, two of them are in my computers, one is my PS2 and the other is one of the toshibas.

There is basically a dvd player in every room in our house. It probably helps that I was a very early adopter and worked at Good guys for a while, so I got good discounts.

I think mine died because they were left on playing the menu over and over again for weeks. I turn off the tv but forget the dvd player and I guess it just spins for weeks. My apex didn't come with a power button on the remote. Sigh..I'm so lazy.

This is my main DVD player Pioneer DLV-919

I've had it for a long time, and I guess it does need cleaning and calibration, I'm wondering how or who I need to contact about getting it calibrated, ufcrusher any suggestions?
