HDTV is in the hizzouse!

FINALLY!

Cox Communications in San Diego is now offering up HDTV service.
Box/Tuner combo rents for $10/month and replaces any box you currently have. $50 setup fee (which is a rip) but i didn't care i NEEDED to see those HD signals on my new tv.

There's virtually nothing about the service on their website other than the fact that it's still a "Future Service" and FAQ section.

Basically you just need a 1080i compatible set with Component inputs.

So far they're offering 6 channels.. (NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, HBO, and Showtime) that are capable of serving up HD programming. Unfortunately Fox is missing which sucks cuz i want to watch 24 in HD.

Anyway..the picture's awesome..can't wait until this programming is the norm instead of the exception.

FYI on Fox..

Fox doesn't support HD, anywhere. All Fox supports is 480p, but most of it's programming is just a crop job and stretched.

You're not missing anything except a Dolby Digital output, unless they started supplying cable boxes with toslink or SP/DIF connections.

Cheers

Actually my cable box has both types of audio outputs.

Is there a decent website that has information about current HD Network programming and future infomation?
