New rack pics

I made a rack for my stereo last weekend and put my stuff in it tonite. (I got the plans from www.wardsweb.org They were free he just asks to be credited)

As you can see I have some wire management issues. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

That rack looks good! How much did it end up costing you, and how long did it take?

mine was almost as bad as yours. I just got a whole bunch of cable ties from Walmart, and started from the top down and tied all the cables from the top device together, then took another tie below the next device, and tied all those together. By the bottom you have a big fat snake of all the cables, and it looks pretty neat actually if you do a good job.

Dont tie them tight by the way..

Thanks, The materials cost me about $130(with almost a whole sheet of plywood left over) and it took around 7 hours to cut assemble and stain it.

If you wanted to go even a step further with the wire ties that rajatQ2 mentioned you can also attach a piece of smoked Plexiglass to the rear of it...

You can use some plastic wire loom. Most car stereo shops have it..you might find it at Kragens or some place similar

man....that rack looks pretty nice
I know I need to make a new rack, as my bookshelf just isn't deep enough.....

I might give that a try.
