I am curious as to what are you guys' take on this one.
Best Progressive Scan DVD player: 1) If price is not an issue, it would be ____________. 2) For the best value, it would be ____________. |

1. The Goldmund Eidos 38D ($21,900. direct DVI output with no D-A-D conversion)
2. Panasonic RP82S ($200 or so) This is what I see as best in terms of visual quality. Audio is a completely different matter. |

Apparently the Panasonic did very well in keeping up with even the very high-end players. I'm trying to find the review where they lined up a whole bunch of them. Incidentally, I managed to snag a couple of the very elusive DVD-RP82s before Amazon stopped selling them. Check the fs/t forum here or at Anandtech in a week or two.
