Best Region/Macrovision Free DVD Player?

Hey Yall,
My Daewoo3000N is already dying (don't ever buy that crappy player) It freezes like MAD when I play discs other than region 1.

I'm looking to find a nice quality REGION FREE AND MACROVISION DISABLED player. Anyone running anything? I'm thinking more towards the modded players, considering that the sampo's daewoo's cyber home's... apex's.... etc etc aren't to my flavor.

I want a nice player along w/ the 2 features modded in.

Anyone got any 2 cents about it?

Thanks

Here's the player that I'm using now. I got about a year ago (Jan 2002) before I moved overseas.

Pioneer DV440 (modded)

It's a little old, but it has been 100% reliable so far. Has not rejected a single disc I threw at it. I play many Region 1, 2, and 3 discs. Not a single freeze or even a skip so far. It's macrovision/region free. It automatically plays region 1 through 6 discs without having to mess with the settings everytime. It's super slim (2" high) and it has great video and audio quality, but don't take my word for it. Here are some reviews for the DV440 (unmodded). I'm pretty sure the only difference is the region/macro mod.

CNet Electronics Review
The rating is only a 7, but that's due to the high price at the time of the review ($299 - Nov 2001). At the time the modded version costs $399. But now you can get the modded version for well under $300.

Here's where I got it. It's $279 now.

That's as good as it can sound for a player. Much appreciated... I think I'll consider buying this unit. How was ordering from these guys? Seems like a bit "ghetto/shady"... Let me know..

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

OOps I forgot...It also has plays VCD, SVCD (CD-R and CD-RW) and MP3 playing capability with a good working "random" function.

I was also very worried cause the place looked quite shady. And the last thing I wanted to deal with a week before leaving the country was a credit card fraud settlement. But I took the chance and the shipment arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I had a very good experience with the place, but just to be safe, I would suggest you use a card with good fraud protection.
