WHich Reciver? HK AVR325 OR Panasonic SA-XR45
Which one should i get?
Panasonic SA-XR45 $299 Although Panasonic's strikingly styled SA-XR45 receiver stands a mere 3 inches tall and weighs just 9.2 pounds, it manages to cram six 100-watt amplifiers and a full complement of features into its low-slung case. The designers achieved this radical size reduction by making the amps all-digital. The XR45 is a great choice for space-starved, style-conscious shoppers, but don't expect it to rock with the same authority as similarly priced full-size models. OR Harman Kardon AVR325 Harman Kardon's latest generation of receivers is jam-packed with innovative features. The AVR 325 -- the company's middle-of-the-road model - - not only sports an impressive array of surround-sound-processing capabilities, but also offers an extensive lineup of multi-room audio- and video-distribution options for a mid-priced receiver. The sound was warm and inviting, complementing older or less-than-perfect-sounding DVDs. ???? |

It depends upon what you value most. The HK has more bells and whistles but the SR45 has much better amps. The Pan. is using the TI digital amp chips, the same ones that are found in TacT gear! Go to the August 2003 update for some info; http://www.newformresearch.com/updateaug03.htm I know some audiophile fanatics who are quite impressed by the Pany amps. HTH
