Like many of us, I lost out on the TH-42PWD6UY Dell deal, right before I was going to buy it.
Of course, I'm still in the market for one and am purplexed on what to do. Do I buy a cheap sampo at Costco? Do I buy a Gateway (I'd rather not)? For me the TH-42PWD6UY was the perfect fit. EDTV, great price, great warrenty/support with Dell, and wonderful reviews? Could there be something out there that matches this, even if it is a few hundred dollars more? |

How soon do you want to buy? Dell will bring the TH-42PWD6UY back, the issue right now is Panasonic is slow in their production, and Electrograph is backordered some 1000+ units.

right away ....
I'm ready to go. I like this Panny because of all the great reviews and am not interested in a Sampo (GW) for quality reasons.

The retail version that includes TV tuner, speakers, and stand goes for $4500 list at B&M stores. J&R has it for under $4000 if you wanted the same thing. It is model #TH42PA20U.

The best deal if you need a plasma right now is to grab one from costco, and return it when a good deal comes by.

I guess you will have to go and look at what dealers have in your area. Besides Panasonic, Fujitsu, Phillips, and Hitachi are supposed to be pretty good. I did not like the Dealsonic on I saw. You can get more info at the AVS forum- they are pretty big on Panasonic. Word on them is that they are using the glass to make more of the consumer line than the commercial one so even after January the 6uy will be hard to find.
