Actually, there is a small projector inside.
Rear projection LCD (or DLP, LCOS) means the TV uses an LCD technology engine (DLP, LCOS) to project the picture on a semi opaque screen panel where we see it. First, the picture inside the TV box projects on a special mirror ('first surface mirror') and then it reflects on the screen. This mirror, unlike regular mirrors, has a reflecting layer over the glass to prevent glass distortion. ---- Ustas |
