do i need progessive scan?
so i need a new dvd player for upstairs, the old one died. the tv is a sony vega. does it matter if i get progressie scan? will i be able to see a difference?
also, what's good one to get for multi format compatibility? especially dvd+r and dvd-r. TIA.

Does your TV have component inputs? If so you might benefit from progressive scan, other there isn't any difference.
