Download movies right to tv?
Anyone got info on where movie downolad to your tv is headed in the near future. I saw an ad in a a newspaper over new years concerning a service they offer with a box that can download movies??? Need some info. I feel like I'm out of the loop with this one???
What's the next technology to replace DVD's? Is it the downloadable systems that I mentioned above? Info on this topic would be appreciated as well. |

I saw two offers regarding what you are talking about...
HBO on demand... watch what you want, when you want. Required seperate HBO cable box. Comcast Digital Cable on demand... Same premise, but over their entire lineup. So you only pay for the shows you want to watch. Interesting idea though.

The next generation of DVD is a version of HDDVD such as BlueRay.

Disney debuted a wireless system called MovieBeam. The movies are transmitted via a digital wireless signal to the receiver's small indoor antenna. The data transmissions take the form of secure data streams and are sent through the broadcast spectrum of television stations owned by ABC and PBS stations.
