EDTV Doesn't Impress Me at All

I was at Best Buy today. They had a 42" EDTV next to a 42" HDTV. What a difference!! I don't remember the brand, but every EDTV I have ever seen is horrendous.

EDTV is so grainy. I wouldn't spend more than a grand for that 42" TV. It wouldn't even be a decent monitor for a computer.

I am a big fan of DLP projection TVs. I don't recall picture quality on EDTVs, but when and if I buy my own place, I'll probably be adding a DLP to my entertainment center.

isn't dlp proj tv's HDTV? hence better than the edtv's?

and EDTV is a movie about this guy named Ed....

and EDTV (i believe stands for enhanced definition), is a better resolution than normal tvs, but not as good as high.

HDTV is supposed to support 1080i
correct me if i'm wrong but I believe EDTV is 480p.

Sure is, but HDTV can be found in Tube TVs as well. I wanted to make a distinction between a tube HDTC and a DLP tv.
