Region free DVD player

Hi, I need some help in picking a Region free DVD player. I'm not sure which brand's are good. I don't know much about dvd players so I'm assuming a basic region free dvd player would suffice. All the input/output sound stuff, which i obviously dont know what i'm talking about, isn't really that important. I guess I just need help on picking a stable region free dvd player and where I can purchase it. Thanks in advance.

Does the Philips dvd player come region free or do i have to input a code? I was looking through the specifications on the Philips dvp642 and it stated that it was a region 1 dvd player? Thanks for your help.

Make a backup copy using DVD Shrink and there won't be any more region code.

It seems that most those region-free DVD players require the manual input (to change the region code) from the remote everytime a disc is played. Is there such machine that I can just insert the DVD and it will start playing automatically? Not looking to spend much money on such unit. Thanks!!
