Dish Network Wants Higher Fees

So I signed up through AllSat back in November for a 6 month package for $29.95 per month.

I get an EMail this morning that they want an extra $2.00 per month starting in February.

Now that's not much, but is it legal for them to do this?

I didn't get the email but if DN wants to increase fee, I either switch to DirecTV or go with basic cable.

Dish is increasing their fees, however their increases are traditionally less than cable increases and less than directv increases. Wouldn't hurt to look around though.. I am.

I will be back to my trusty antenna after the six month trial. Anyone know if I get to keep my dish and box?

Depends on what deal you signed up for. Sometimes you get the equipment for free and other times it's considered leased. If you have your original contract take a look at that, otherwise I'd call. Don't want to keep the equipment and then find out it was leased by a big bill or trashed credit.

Looks like it's leased. Oh well, I will make up my mind in a few months. And it does not quote a firm monthly price for the six month period.

I got the same email, but I don't mind paying an extra $2/month. Go switch to cable. They will ream you with their rates that are double what you pay for dish or directv
