My old Sony 32" XBR TV which has performed flawlessly for the past 13 years ago is no longer working.

I press the "ON" button and I don't get that POP sound as exhibited in CRT monitors, just a low volume hiss. There has been no sign that the tube is deteriorating.

Does it sound like a power supply, capacitor or transformer?

EDIT: I just noticed that I put this in the wrong forum. Can it be moved to another forum?
