Can that Phillips 32PT740H99 do 720p?
On the web site and pdf spec sheet, it lists 1080i and 480p. What would it do with a HD 720p signal?

I don't want to sound contrary, but I am thinking of buying the TV. Are you sure it will upconvert a 720p (fox sports) to 1080i? That seems kinda tricky for a lower-end set. |

I doubt it does. It probably cannot recognize it.
What you want to do is simply set your HD set top box to output 1080i.

Thanks for the input. I've decided to wait a little while longer, until the nice Toshibas show up with hot deals at onecall again.
