Right now I have a audigy gamer but it hasnt been working right. So i was trying to eather get a new sound card that can work with my 5.1s and 2 extra speakers(if that is even posable). I am also willing to get a new card and recive but i dont know what i should get.
i guess what my question is if i can combine the receiver and sound card. If i can't what do i need to do? Also if i do have to get a reciver i would want to be able to hook up 4 speakers to the reciver and just run a cable to it from my computer. * on a side note i think it is the software for my current sound card is the thing that is not working I have to test it a little more and see what happens. If it does work will i be able to use that card? |

If you have an external set of 5.1 or 7.1 inputs on the back of the reciever (I have my DVD player using those when I am playing DVD Audio discs- otherwise I use the optical connection) you should be able to. Do you not have enough volume with the speakers connected to your sound card that you want to use the reciever?
