Value of a used Samsung TXN3275HF

Unlike many of my friends, since I got married I have deprived myself of upgrading my electronics. My main tv is still a 25" Magnavox that I got in 1995, so yeah I am in need of an upgrade, but other things are taking priority over me getting what I really want. Anyhow a friend of mine is selling his Samsung TXN3275HF. Its a 32" HD CRT. Take a look at it here: TV @ Amazon . As you can see it is a 4:3 set, but it does have an HD tuner in it, so I could add an antenna. Anyhow, Amazon wants $750 and eCost was around $690 for this set new. Knowing that the prices of CRT sets are dropping rather rapidly, what would you guess this set is worth knowing that it was a bedroom tv and has about 15-16 months of use on it? Maybe $350-400? Thanks for the help.

Good to know that there is no value for a used tv. Ended up he just wants to get rid of it, so when I told him that I could not buy it from him, he told me to help him with some carpentry things around his house and he would give it to me. Not bad for a weekends worth of work.

Yup - used TV sets aren't worth diddly! Couple examples....

I had a Panasonic Tau series 32" 4:3 non-HD set. This was a high-end set 3 years ago with a stellar picture for not being high def. Paid nearly $1000 for it, just sold it to a friend for $200.

I bought a cheap Apex 27" flat-screen set that had a lousy picture and a poor tuner. Shoud have taken it back to the store. Had a hard time giving it away! A friend of mind took it for his kids to use in their bedroom.

I got it hooked up in the living room on Saturday eveningafter helping (er, mostly doing it myself) paint his den. It definitely looks better than my old set, but I really want to get an HD antenna to get the OTA channels in my area. Looks like I should get 6-7 channels where I am located so not too bad. Just need to decide on what antenna to get, the little Zenith or a larger bowtie one that I could put in the attic. Just not sure if I want the hassle of running the feed from the attic to the TV. we shall see.
