didn't want to hijack anyone's thread, but i need help with LCD tv purchase

i've decided that for my first TV (seriously, the first one i'm buying for myself), I want to go with an LCDTV. So here's how it is:

I've done some researching and its come down to either a 30 or 32 inch TV. I can't spend more than $1500 and really would rather spend somewhere around $1200.

I know a lot of people are recommending the Syntax Olevia 32 inch, but is it just me or are there a lot of mixed reviews. I read somewhere that pic quality is not that great and blacks aren't that good.

I was *this* close to ordering the Sharp Aquos 26" until I stopped by circuit city to take a look at how big it looked, and it was too small...hence, the choice to go to 30 inches. But the Sharp Aquos 30" is um...a bit expensive.

I'd really prefer 30 to 32 inches, just because i've read that trailing and ghosting become much bigger problems if u go bigger than 30.

ANyways, suggestions on pricing and where to buy would be helpful. I intend to purchase in the next few days. The money is burning a hole in my wallet. Thanks

If you can deal with a smaller lcd, the 24" dell ws will make a sweet monitor/lcd tv.
A lot more pixels than pure lcd tvs. On sale for under $900 all the time.
