speaker cable connections

I've purchased the Acoustic Research HC6 home theater speaker set recently. They're still on the way, but I'd like to have the speaker cables ready so that I can test them out as soon as they're delivered. Although my receiver can use banana plugs, the speakers have "Gold-plated binding posts" which apaprently cannot be used with banana plugs. So, beside from banana plugs, what would be the most solid/cleanest way to treat the end of my cables for these connections?

strip 3/4" of wire, twist the loose ends, wrap around binding posts, and tighten.

unless it's a real high-end unit, just loose wire will do. if AR gave you crappy wire, make sure that you get yourself some decent wire though - just a 16 gauge wire at home depot will do - by far the cheapest and quite good.
