Verizon FIOS in NJ

Verizon has already laid a bunch of Fiber lines all over NJ, but they're trying to pass a bill that will allow them to charge a huge cable tax in all of NJ regardless of weather the service is available or not in your area.

Unfortunatly, I can't find any information on this besides what I hear on the radio all the time. nj1015.com has a story about it, but it's not updated yet.

This bothers me, a lot. Verizon is claiming they're going to charge about 5 dollars less then the other cable companies...but if they're going to charge a higher tax, then what's the difference?

Does anyone have any information on this?

whoops, wrong forum...can you please move this GAM?
