You can get a DS lite for as little as three referrals. Better still some of the offers are on a free trial. This means you can sign up and get your credit (try blockbuster and screen select for half a credit each) and then cancel before the trial period expires. You only get your first charge after the free trial expires so as long as you cancel before the end of the trial period you will not be charged. You should only cancel one or two days before the end of the rial period otherwise you may get your credit taken off of you.

Again you don't need many referrals (they offer an xbox 360 for as little as 9 referrals). There are no free offers on this one but there are some remarkably cheap ones. Some of the Tickle tests only cost 5$ or about 3£ (there are American and Uk versions of the site). This signs you up for a regular payment but again there is a trial period (7days) and as long as you cancel before then you won't receive any additional charges.
