Well, I now know more how this works. After you sign up, goto "My companies" and enter the companies you are signed up for. Then, leave the "company" space blank, choose which type of program you want, and hit the button. It will show you a list with different companies under the "search criteria" that you used. Then you can click on the link to the program you want, sign up and then you will be a part of that chain.
