Question

I am going to be buying a Coolpix 950 from buy.com soon. So they got free shipping, and I can get them to pricematch the lowest prices on the net, but this is still NOT enough! :-)

Do you folks know what the biggest $$ off $$$ coupon for buy.com is? I am hoping for 50/250+ or bigger to pay for the evil taxes.

BTW, the 64meg card listed on the deals home page is a great buy for this camera...

Thanks for all replies

Buy.Com coupons

Have any of you folks seen any buy.com coupons for more then $30 off?

The CoolPix 950 price I am looking at is:
http://store.yahoo.com/corporateraider/nikcool950.html
for $650.

Pricematched at buy.com
-$100 manuf. rebate
-$30/150 coupon
----
$520 + free shipping

that is a pretty good deal, right?

I've never price matched anything at Buy.com but their posted terms and conditions don't look promising. First of all they say you have to buy the item at the posted price first and then request a price match after you've paid. They also say their price matching doesn't include coupons, so I wonder if they would subtract the $30 coupon from the amount of the price match so you wouldn't end up getting the extra $30 off the matched price. Anyone know?

Buy.com buying policies

Yea, that's what I want to know. I am afraid that rather then not giving me the $30 coupon, they might want to give me the pricematch! And the whole shady "buy-before-pricematch" policy just seems like its begging them to abuse it!

Anyone try this before?

I friend of mine pricematched with buy.com. The item he bought was 160.00 and he pricematched it to 145.00. He used a 30 off 150 coupon and they told him that since the pricematch brought the item under 150 that the coupon would no longer be valid. Their pricematch policy sucks. So if your gonna try to pricematch just be sure your total after pricematch is above the minimum for the coupon.
