external cd-r drives for laptops

does anyone know of good deals for an external cd-r drive for laptops. my research shows pretty much hp drives around $300. Any info out there is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any info? I'm guessing that some of you must have laptops and have, or want to burn cd's also.
