It's because of the high resolution of the 2407 (1920x1200). The basic video cards can't support a resolution that high.

That might be the case with the 3007fpw, but 2407fpw will run even on integrated intel graphics, ie. Intel GMA 900/950. The basic dell desktops came with at least this graphic card configuration. |
