Covad is not cheap! Well at least it wasn't when i was getting DSL.
If you want DSL Check out http://www.mminternet.com My access is with them and its great, they have no restrictions on their service and their prices are good. You get a static IP and additional IP's are only 3 bucks. BTW, if anyone does decide to sign up with them, be kind and use my email as a refferal hapoo@mminternet.com

true, but you get a static IP (not Dynamic PPPoE) and no restrictions which is really good if you want to run a server. Plus i'm not in PacBells service area

Tru for the server part....
But I have a router so my IP doesn't change all that much so when I want my ftp open I just give my friends my IP.... I don't have a server up all the time but I do want my very own IP address(soon maby soon)....(and maby a better upload rate to) DSL rocks!!!... even freedsl is better than DialUp..... |

What about the Bay Area, anything good there? Telocity has just gone up to $49.95. That sucks. I was looking for something with no annual contract.

Verizon's ADSL service. It's been stable and fast. The CO is right around the corner from my place. [chuckle]
