Question

I'm looking for the alternative site to download mp3 files as you guys already knew that napster is dead! I am looking for the site(s) that have the same function as napster, ie you can share files instead of trying to get into ftp site.

Thanks in advance.

Hog-

If you go to http://www.napigator.com you can download their client which uses the napster interface but connects you to different server. Basically works the same as napster with one additional step. However- it has been taking me and everyone I know forever to get onto one of the napigator servers as they are always full!

Other clients you can use are bearshare, imesh, scour, and aimster. I'm sure you can search for those.

There is always the options of buying-copying-returning if you have a local store that still does that...

I used to do this before i downloaded mp3s. The blank cds (especially Maxwells) you can easily open one side and slide out the cd case. Original cds are harder to do this. Well anyways, after copying the cd, i would slide it back into the cdr wrapper, and use glue stick on it to seal it. The white sticker label on the top of the cd case hides most of the glue, and you can easily return this to get cash back. Just make sure of the stores return policy and if they check id or not. You can use fake names/addresses.

You can use http://www.audiogalaxy.com or http://www.kazaa.com. I am using these now and they are similar to napster. A lot of users share files on them right now.

I use KaZaa right now.
Very happy with the service.
I've been able to find everything that I wanted.
comparable to the late, great Scour Exchange.
