Hey All,

I am looking to head to Europe early next year (Marchish) for a month with the wife. We are taking the honeymoon we never had.

Any ideas on finding some killer airfare deals? I have tried some sites and a search tool called sidestep, but I am wondering if there's anything better out there.

There are killer deals if you look much closer to when you want to go. I have seen flights from the san francisco area for under $400 round trip.

Also, check SkyAuction.com and Travelzoo.com

Skyauction generally gives you about 6 months to use their trips but Travelzoo is generally only a month or two in advance (since they are catering to the last minute market)

In travel, those that plan too far in advance pay nearly as much as those that travel without advance purchase

You probably will want to contact them by phone and they will send you a bunch of package offers. It was great to work with them as their prices for airfare, hotels, and tours were by far better than we'd seen anywhere. And like for us, we met several folks who were travelling some of the same tours booked through other agencies who were complaining about their rooms and such. We, on the other hand, were put up in the very best room in the hotel because the travel agent at Adelman worked with the hotel and told them it was our honeymoon and so we got an aweful lot of special treatment. (such as in Europe you normally don't see even Queen size beds in rooms and we were given a King size bed in a suite.)
