Rebate/Staples rebate question

I need help. I ordered the HP 315 digi cam last week on staples.com. but apparently the order didn't go through cause staples jacked up. and now the rebate is dead. but i have it listed under my order history. now my question is, can i reorder the camera, and use the order history (which has the date i actually purchased, which is within the rebate range) as a receipt?

any help would be appreciated

i had a similar problem w/ that handspring deal from staples a while back. just call up 1-800-staples, and talk to them about it, and ask if your receipt will have the original date on it. Hopefully it will. I think thats all you can do. If they say no just try to be firm and tell them that they jacked up, and they should fix it. I went w/ the HP 215 since it was like 20 bucks, but i hope this works out, cuz $100 for an HP 315 is a good deal
