Question

First of all, I don't get the difference between PC2100 and PC1600 DDR Ram's. Why are they priced the same at Crucial? What's "better"? Isn't 1600's better since they are CL=2? <B>Are there other places with better price for DDR Ram's?<B> Are generic DDR ram's ok? was that a stupid question? Is Kingston PC2400 DDR Ram's better than crucial's 2100 and 1600? Am I asking too many questions at once?...sorry...
thanx all in advance for clarifying these questions.

the 1600 in PC1600 specifies the bandwidth so the higher the better.

PC1600 is 100mhz ram
PC2100 is 133mhz ram
PC2400 is 150mhz ram

I'd suggest going for Crucial PC2100 memory. PC2400 IS faster but many have problems with it.

"Why are they priced the same at Crucial?" They cost just the same to make as sdram.

"Are there other places with better price for DDR Ram's?" Probably. I use Crucial ram since its inexpensive and high quality ram.

I prefer crucial ram over generic and kingston ram. Less compatibility problems.

Mushkin and Corsair have what they call PC2400.
