I will be a father in about a month. So far all I needed in my life other than food (ie computer stuff) I have been getting, you guessed it... free after rebate. I am not acustom to paying for things. Anyone knows any free (or at least deeply discounted) diapers, baby formulas and such? Would appreciate any hints.

First things first: Congratulations. My son turned 2 last month.
Not sure I know of much for free... there are the usual packs from enfamil, etc - you could try for those. The best product we ever found are Umix brand bottles, of their "Shake It Up" type. I initially found 'em in KMart, and figured 'what the heck'. They are basically a two-part bottle, where you can put water in the bottom, powdered formula in the top, and simply twist and shake to mix them when you're ready. We have about 10, and used them on trips, or whenever it would be handy to have a bottle ready, but refrigeration wasn't available. Try http://www.umixbaby.com/. Ours were about $4 each. Not sure what else to recommend - other than to be prepared to mortgage your house for diapers. We buy at BJ's or Sam's clubs for a lot of stuff, too. Now I'm going to have to keep an eye on this thread, too. :-) Deals would be cool. |
