I need a decent laptop
My friend needs a laptop and she's willing to spend no more then $1500. Preferably, $1000. She wants a CD Burner. Any ideas anyone? If you can't find a deal, what is a good company?

I'd recommend you look out for deals from Dell. You can get a P3 1GHz-M Inspiron 8100 with CDRW for around $1300 after a $200 rebate right now. Or you can look at Dell's outlet store, a lot of good bargains there as long as they're having a dollars-off special.

How about a refurb from Dell?
or just wait until there is a good deal on laptops from dell I would definitely prefer dell over any other brand, especially the Latitude
