Sears pricematching question
The local Sears had 2 Xboxes in their entire delivery. The price they had was $399 for just the console. I tried explaining to the guy that is $100 above list price and asked if it came with anything else, but he just repeated with an obnoxious smile that $399 was the price. The consoles are sold out everywhere, so I bought it. I haven't opened it yet because I think $399 is too much.
Is there any way that I can get them to sell it to me for cheaper if I return it? I don't mean an open box discount, but is there some way that I can get it for list price at least? I'm willing to hold on to it for up to 30 days in case it goes on "sale" for $299, but has anyone dealt with a problem like this? Something that sells at x dollars everywhere but Sears? It might be hard to get a pricematch since it is sold out. Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, I found their pricematching policy here: http://www.sears.com/sr/framework/ho...vertical=SEARS "If you find a lower price on an identical branded item currently available for sale at another local retail store, Sears will match that price. Just tell your sales associate at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase." They also pricematch with a limited number of on-line stores listed in the link above. I guess I have to wait until it goes on sale again within the next 30 days or just return it. ******* Edit, again: I went to another Sears and asked about the $399 price. The console was supposed to come with 2 games, which I wasn't given. So it's not much of a problem and I'll just go back and ask for the 2 games that I didn't receive.
