I'm moving so I'm going to be signing up for DSL again at my new place. I currently pay $50/month for extremely reliable service but can I get it for less?
Does anyone pay less for a pretty reliable company? |

Depends on where you move to. =) I've been recommending DirectTV DSL .. They have a promotion.. First 6 months $39.99. After that, $49.99. Static IP, not that bad of service. I'd shy away from PacBell. |

I live in the SF Bay Area and my current dsl provider is going out of business (DNAI.com). Any recommendations.

Pacbell's has a bit of downtimes. Their mail servers go down somewhat often. I've experienced about 7-8 in the 3 years I've had it. The package they offer now is no where near as good as it was before. Now, you only get a dynamic IP address, and I've noticed from my friends place, that they download at 1/4 the speed I do. They charge $49.99 right now. I still use Pacbell at home in San Francisco because if I was to get the same package from them now, it'd cost at least $20 more per month. In my apartment here in San Jose, I use DirectTV DSL, formerly known as Telocity. They offer the same package as I have in San Francisco, with the exception of a free dialup account. The speeds are fast n'd I've been somewhat satisfied so far, in the 5-6 months I've had it. |
