Hard Drive
Hey All,
I need some advice and a good place to get a GOOD hard drive. I'm looking at the Western Digital 40 gig 7200 rpm drive right now. But the cheapest i've found it for is about $110. Is this a good drive? Are there better brands? Where can I get them cheaper? thanks, SuperA

I have that hard drive. It's great. No troubles. Can't say the same for my cheapie motherboard from Fry's...
I bought that hard drive during the summer of 2000 for about $70 cheaper than the average price. I got it at Staples.com with coupons. It was a great deal! I think Western hard drives are on sale at Fry's also but I'm not sure. Check out your Sunday paper ads if you live near a Fry's. If not, I recommend using coupons at Staples.com, Buy.com, etc. Just keep a look out of the best price. |

If you are in Southern California, Fry's has a Seagate 80GB on sale.
Seagate 80GB, 7200rpm $139+tax - $50 rebate = $89+tax after rebate They also have a WD 120GB for $189 BazzX |
