19 inch monitors
anyone know of any deals on a good 19 inch monitor? some people have suggested one of these two:
Hitachi 19 Inch .22mm DP 1600x1200 18 inch Viewable Model CM715 SAMSUNG 955DF 19" 0.20mm dot pitch (horizontal). 1600 x 1200@68Hz comments on a good monitor that's easy on the wallet would be appreciated as well as specific deals and resellers. thanks in advance.

Tiger Direct usually has some pretty killer monitor deals. I was looking for a 19" and ended up with a 22" that cost less - $349. Their stock changes pretty frequently, so keep an eye on them.
I believe that the Dell Small Business store has a 15% off sale on monitors this week. |

Stay away from Sylvania. They are OEM'd Princetons, and Princetons are pieces of junk.

Don't do trinitron....I've always hated those stupid lines they have! (you know, the ones that are horizontal and are at the 1/3 and 2/3 section of the screen) I'll go with the samsung...they make really good crt's. This is the first time I've seen you chode...I'm GraingerGuys bro.

I prefer trinitron/diamondtron tubes over shadowmask monitors and don't even notice the lines.

The Samsung is a nice monitor for a pretty reasonable price...
I used to have a Samsung 900IFT 19", and I sold it with a pc. Big mistake. It was by far the nicest monitor I've ever owned... On a budget now, I've got a LG Studioworks 995E. Was less than $200 at Dell, and the picture is excellent. Crisp, good color, does 1600x1200@75hz, and no geometry problems on mine. Only downside is it's not a true flatscreen like the Samsung was...

![]() Trinitron for me also - the only time you see the lines is if you are looking for them against a white background. I think they're even less noticable on newer monitors - I just got a new Dell P992 at work, and I have to lean close to see them, even on a bright white background. |
