MP3 player?

I am looking for a good MP3 player to use while working out. I want something like the Rio Sport version but wondering if anyone had suggestions for anything better? Also, is there any place to get the best deal?

Thanks for the suggestions - what about the Nike version by Philips? Have you heard anything good or bad about it?

Before I would suggest a player, what type of media are you going to use? That is, do you already have compact flash cards or something laying around thanks to a digital camera?

I bought this one about 6 months ago My MP3 player and love it.

It uses compact flash, same as my digital camera so only need to buy one type of media, it plays all formats, and most important to me was that it just plugs into your usb port and shows up as another drive. That's right, no need to install additional crappy software which re-encodes music for copy protection purposes. Just drag and drop to the removable drive. Also, it is priced at the lower end of players. Like I said, I have it and really like it.

If budget it not a concern, get an Ipod.

I don't have flash cards - I have not thought that far ahead. I just wanted something to download mp3 and wma files down to a small piece of electronics that I could strap to my arm when I go running. I wanted at least 128 mb, maybe more. I was looking at an ipod (pricey) and not as portable for running.

im going through the same thing and trying to decide between the rio sport or the panasonic ewear sv-sd80. since price is a concern for me im thinking ill go w/the rio, but i have an old rio600 that i cant stand. it seems the new rios are much better (at least according to reviews). check out cnet.com, theres a reviews link at the very top and they seem to be very comprehensive.

just got the rio s30 from costco for $129 w/extra 32MB MMC. Not a ton of memory but not a bad price and there is always the costco return policy. Since I use mine for working out and while doing other sports its nice to be able to return it if i ever need to

i got the rio s35s for $159 from amazon, there are some $5 off cupons floating around here too, and have been pleased so far. i had another 128 sd card, so i have about 6hrs@96kb, which is plenty.
